Zora Lee Powell, age 87, of Turtletown, TN passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. She was born on April 21, 1933 to the late Alexander B. Benefield and Beulah Dale Benefield. Mrs. Powell worked for Paytons Shipping as a cleaner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Powell; son, Charles "Junior" Powell; brother, Robert Benefield and grandson, Jason Powell. Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerrell Powell (Charlotte); grandchildren, Chris Powell, Dewayne Powell (Stephanie) and Carolee Bransfield (Kenny); great-grandchildren, Klay Bransfield, Kole Bransfield, Memphis Powell and Jaxon Powell; sisters, Myrtle Gourley, Mary Jones and Martha Dillard; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services were conducted on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Pallbearers were Chris Powell, Dwayne Powell, Mickey Loudermilk, Kenny Bransfield, Larry Panter and Clinton Allen. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
