Wynell V. Layton, age 88, of Canton, GA, formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA. She was born in Dothan, AL on March 27, 1927 to the late Leondis Vann and Stella Williams Vann. She was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Layton. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Eva Layton of Alpharetta, GA and Michael and Ginger Layton of Saint Cloud, FL; granchildren, Jenn Layton-Hsu and Emily Layton. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.
