Mrs. Jean Bossen, age 73, of Cashes Valley Rd. Cherry Log, GA passed away on Tuesday June 26, 2007. Born in Fannin County she was the daughter of the late Herdis and Ellen Garrison Callihan. Mrs. Bossen was very family oriented as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church where she served in a number of capacities. Jean enjoyed her Sunday school class and her Tuesday family and friends Bible study. She also had volunteered for home health care to aid in helping others. Mrs. Bossen enjoyed traveling in her RV, where she and her husband had visited all fifty states.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Johnny Callihan; and two sisters, Kelly Ensley and Patty Callihan.
Survivors included her husband, Ilo Bossen of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Thad Gray of Appling, GA, Nancy and Victor Jones of Sumter, SC, Judy and Bill Lillis of Hephzibah, GA and Mary White of Blue Ridge, GA; honorary children, Chris and Meghan Ensley of Chatsworth, GA and Rhonda and Jim Jacobs of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Winston and Jody Callihan and Tommy and Alma Callihan all of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lilly and Cecil Cole of Blue Ridge, GA, Polly and Jerry Keppel of Blue Ridge, GA, Lucy and the late Dick Donnelly of Powder Springs, GA, Clara Callihan of Blue Ridge, GA, Mary Ellen Callihan of Ellijay, GA and Joanie and Bill Stuart of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Amber White, Jacob Gray, Tori Jones, Alex Jones, Joseph Lillis, Trent Lillis and Katlyn Lillis; sisters-in-law, Robbie Callihan and Jean Callihan both of Blue Ridge, GA.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 29th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church with Dr. John Brantley officiating. Music was provided by Pat Miller, Magan Woods, Rachael Lovell and Rhonda Jacobs. Interment followed in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery the following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jimmy Gindorff, Brian Keppel, Eric Donnelly, Ricky Callihan, Derrick Callihan, Sterling Callihan, Billy Stuart, Drue Callihan and Sean Callihan. For those desiring memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Bossen may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
