Mr. William Leon Yates, age 74, of Epworth, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at his home.

He was born on October 28, 1950, in Dade City, Florida. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves for eight years. In his younger years, he worked in the citrus industry and for the Dade City Fire Department. He worked for thirty years and retired from CF Industries Port of Tampa, where he served as the Superintendent of Maintenance.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Lee Yates.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nilene Marie Yates of Epworth, Georgia; and is blessed with a large group of extended family and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held by his family at a later date.
