William Harrison "Buddy" Wehunt, age 59, of Epworth, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born in Copperhill, TN, to the late William Homer "Bill" Wehunt and Helen Marie Hughes Wehunt. Buddy worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation, first as an Engineer and later as an auditor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill Wehunt and Helen Hughes Wehunt; uncle, Robert Wehunt; brother, Jamie Wehunt; and sister, Christine Brown. Buddy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelly Richards Wehunt; sons, Kyler Wehunt and Kolton Wehunt; brothers, David Wehunt and Jeff Wehunt; aunt, Glenda Wehunt; mother-in-law, Imogene Richards; sister-in-law, Mitzi LeViner; niece, Emily Higdon and her husband, Levi Higdon; and great-nephew, Ryker Higdon. A private memorial service was conducted from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Mike Grindstaff officiating. The family requests no flowers for Buddy's service.
