Mr. William Bruce "Bill" Weeks, age 81 of McCaysville, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. Born in Fannin County, GA, he was the son of the late Julius B. and Fannie Ethel Millsaps Weeks. He was retired from Cities Service as a repairman for thirty-four years. Mr. Weeks was a member of the McCaysville Church of Christ. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he was involved in the Normandy Invasion and The Battle of The Bulge. Mr. Weeks was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Della Ann Brannon.He was survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Reva Welch Weeks of McCaysville, GA; son-in-law, Jerry Brannon of Childersburg, AL; sister, Mae Waters of McCaysville, GA; granddaughter, Regina Brown of Childersburg, AL; and two great granddaughters, Jessica Callan and Jolee Callan.Graveside services were conducted Friday, October 5, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Bill Johnston officiating. Full military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Harry Kyle, George Welch, Randy Clough, Glen Kyle, Jeffrey Kyle and Timmy Kyle.
