William Glen Tanner, age 79, of Epworth, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Chattanooga, TN. He was born on July 11, 1944 in Copperhill, to the late Dennis Clyde Tanner and Alma Jane Verner Tanner. Glen was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He worked for many years, prior to retirement, as a Journeyman Electrician with IBEW Local 175 out of Chattanooga.

Glen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Tanner; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ed Hamby; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Megan Tanner, and Shane and Elizabeth Tanner; and grandchildren, Seth Tanner, Sydney Tanner, Tanner Hamby, Braiden Tanner, and Caileigh Tanner.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 4:00 PM from Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Wellham officiating. Music will be provided by Becky Harris. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Goss, Austin Watkins, Tyler Watkins, Greg Taylor, Eric Thompson, Ryan Watkins, and Todd Dilbeck. The family will visit with friends at Lebanon Baptist Church on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the service hour of 4:00 PM. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
