William Alonzo Roberts, Jr, better known to family and friends as Lonnie, age 51, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Lonnie was born in Copperhill to the late William Alonzo Roberts, Sr and Patricia Gail Shell Roberts. He had worked as a sawmiller.He is survived by brother, Adam Roberts of Oakwood, GA; sisters, Mary Janice Miller and Brandi Roberts, both of Copperhill, TN; Several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship #3 Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Heath Flowers, Jack Gee, Jason Gamble, Ryan Tucker, Travis Miller, Stephen Miller and Chris Maddox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Mr. Roberts may be made to help defray final expenses.
