William Donald Peterson, age 78, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1947, in Lebanon, OR. William served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a deacon at New Life Community Church, where he faithfully served in many roles. William is preceded in death by his parents, Verne Ralph Peterson and Juanita Ava Tucker Peterson; and siblings, Verne Peterson Jr., Michael Peterson, Tim Peterson, Tom Peterson, and Todd Peterson.

William is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Bette Peterson; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and John Bach; granddaughter, Christina Bach; siblings, Rick Peterson, Randy Peterson, Jeanne Rankins, Patricia Chism, and Jeanette ; as well as a host of other family, church family, and friends.

A celebration of William's life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM from New Life Community Church. Pastor Joe Kennedy and Pastor Austin Leach will officiate. Personal remembrances will be shared by Bette Peterson, Brenda Bach, and Rick Peterson. The family will visit with friends at the church on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM. Following the service, a meal will be provided at the church.
