William Robert Harvon, Ret. Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, age 85, of Blue Ridge, passed away August 13, 2010. Born in Panama IL, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary Hall Havron. Mr. Havron served during World War II and the Korean conflict at which time he served as a Bomber Gunnerman with thirty five missions. Survivors include his wife Marie Kelly Havron of the home, sons and daughter-in-laws, William, Jr. and Bobbie Havron, Stephen and Robin Havron, Lawrence and Linda Brace, Ret. Col. John J. and Patricia Dolac, Joseph and Anna Dolac; daughters and son-in-laws, Helen and Andy Viola, Marsha and Brad Shultz, Rita and Brian Thompson, Donna and Tom Meadows, Joan and Donny Fisk and Sally and Lenwood Crawford; twenty six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday August 17, at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Conway officiating. Music will be provided by Ruth Stamps. Full Military Honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Prayer services being at 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
