Mr. William Arthur better known as "Junior" Harrison, age 82, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Monday October 19, 2009 in the Bradley Health Care Center. Born in Fannin County, GA he was the son of the late William Sr. and Ethel Iowa Thomas Harrison. Mr. Harrison served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He worked for twenty years for Cities Service in Acid Processing. Later he owned and operated Harrison's Car Sales in Mineral Bluff, GA for a number of years. Mr. Harrison was a long time member of the Salem #2 Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Earley Harrison of fifty nine years of marriage of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Harrison, Jerry and Connie Harrison all of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter, Katherine Harrison of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters, Maudie H. Rider, Nora Ledford both of Mineral Bluff; one grandchild, James Arthur Harrison III also survives. Funeral services were Thursday October 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salem #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Music was provided by Caylor Family. Interment followed in the Church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Robbie Stuart, Dwayne Ledford, Roy Lee Ledford Terry Cutcher, Gary Harris, and Jimmy Harris. The following gentlemen served as honorary pallbearers: Kenneth Patterson and Hoyt Verner. Full military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
