William George Deal, age 58, of Copperhill, TN passed away Friday, August 28, 2015. George was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a member and Deacon of the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church. He had worked as a Detention Officer with the Polk County Justice Center. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.He is survived by his loving wife of thirty nine years, Glenda Deal of the home; daughter, Amanda (Daniel) West of Copperhill, TN; Father and mother, Rev. Lloyd and Rhoda Deal of Copperhill, TN; brothers, Alex (Angie) Deal, Richard Deal, Carlton (Rita) Deal, Randy (Sharon) Deal and Leroy Deal, all of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Marilyn (Rev. Gerald) Payne, Kathleen (Jimmy) Payne and Mary Louise (Bug) Talley, all of Copperhill, TN; Two grandchildren, Anna and Zeb West of Copperhill, TN; Special friend, Mike Griffith of Ducktown, TN; Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and other relatives also survive.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Phillips and Rev. John Newton officiating. Music will be by the Kenny O'Neal family. Pallbearers include, Mike Griffith, Matthew Deal, Jesse Deal, Adam Deal, Daniel Deal, Travis Deal, Aaron Talley and Corey Deal. The Polk County Sheriffs Department will serve as an Honorary Escort. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
