Willa Dean O'Neal, age 85, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 28, 1938, in Copperhill, TN. She was a member of McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle. Willa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved gardening, and growing her flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed spending countless hours on the bank fishing.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ada Deal; grandparents that raised her, James Arthur Deal and Minnie Mae Deal; her husband, Albert Guinn O'Neal, Sr.; grandchild, Christopher Patterson; siblings, Frank Deal, Burlin Deal, Ronnie Deal, Garland Deal, Don Deal, Jim Deal, Bonnie Panter, Charlie Parm, and Larry Parm; and sons-in-law, Donnie Davenport and Darrell Walden.

Willa is survived by her children, Brenda O'Neal Reynolds (Don) of Blairsville, Melissa O'Neal Walden of Blue Ridge, Guinn O'Neal of Blue Ridge, and Renee Davenport of Epworth; grandchildren, Andrew Patterson, Jill (Brad) Hawkins, Adam Walden, Chanley (Micah) O'Neal, Chase (Cheyenne) O'Neal, Hanna (Matthew) Dyer, Heath Davenport (Kurstin Shuler), and Luke Davenport; great-grandchildren, Bristol Hawkins, Charlie O'Neal, Cali O'Neal, and Drake Dyer;  and siblings, Debi Parm and Eddie Parm both of Cincinnati, OH.

Funeral services were held on  Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Kenny O'Neal and Andy Patterson. Interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Heath Davenport, Luke Davenport , Andy Patterson, Matthew Dyer, Micah O'Neal, and Scott Deal.  Honorary pallbearers were Chase O'Neal, Guinn O'Neal,  and Barron Deal.
