Willa Nell Jones, age 96, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare in Blue Ridge. Born on July 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Willie McDaniel and Estie Pope McDaniel. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She worked as a seamstress for Levi's. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roy Franklin Jones. She is survived by son, Jimmy Jones of Valdese, NC; grandchildren, Missy (Joe) Robinson of Dallas, GA and Robin (Tech) Anderson of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren, Jessi Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Laura Anderson, and Justin Anderson; and sister, Patsy Hawkins of Blue Ridge. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jim Crews and Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Interment followed at 1:30 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Tech Anderson, Joe Robinson, Joshua Robinson, and Justin Anderson served as pallbearers.
