Mr. Wilburn Freeman "Short" Loudermilk, age 80 of Copperhill, TN passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. "Short" was born in Polk County to the late William Harley and Della Mae Clore Loudermilk. He was a member of the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Isabella and was retired from Tennessee Copper Company where he had worked as a repairman. He was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane Fricks Loudermilk; siblings James A. Loudermilk, Wayne H. Loudermilk, Clifford D. Loudermilk, Teddy Loudermilk, Polly Loudermilk, Pauline Loudermilk Baliles, Harlene Loudermilk Anderson and son-in-law Ronnie Williams.He is survived by children Dennis (Cheri) Loudermilk of Turtletown,TN, Tommy (Liz) Loudermilk of Ducktown, TN, Betty Williams of McCaysville, GA, Robin (Ricky) Self of McCaysville, GA; brothers Clyde Henry Loudermilk of Copperhill, TN, A.E. Loudermilk of Copperhill, TN, Ned Loudermilk of Suit, NC; sister, Doris Loudermilk Burrell of Copperhill, TN; four grandchildren, D.J.Loudermilk, Jimmy Loudermilk, Jared Loudermilk and Kimberly McDaniel; three great grandchildren, Blaine Loudermilk, Hayden Loudermilk and Benjamin Loudermilk.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Tim Hemming officiating. Pallbearers include A.E. Loudermilk, Ned Loudermilk, Ricky Self, Wesley Welch, Dennis Loudermilk and Tommy Loudermilk. Clyde Henry Loudermilk will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church cemetery.
