Wendell Ray "Tuffy" Workman, age 86, of Epworth, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 20, 1935 in Kentucky to the late Harry "Shot" Workman and Edith Hull Workman. He attended Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Workman; and a half-sister. He is survived by his wife, Maggie Phillips; children, Shauna (Jay) White of Mt. Olivet, KY, Robert Workman of Minerva, KY; Lisa (John) Duley of Dunellon, FL, and Bryon Workman of Fargo, ND; step-children, Mike (Deborah) Phillips of Dawsonville, GA, and Tim (Gail) Phillips of Dallas, GA; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and step-grandson, David Phillips. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Watkins and Joel Collis. Interment followed in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Ed Hawkins, Brad Hawkins, Bobby Callihan, Jake Callihan, Roger Jones, and Phil Jones serving as pallbearers.
