Mr. Wendell Delos Postell, age 80, of Blue Ridge passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Wendell was born on September 6, 1941 in the Higdon Community of Fannin County, GA. He had a vast work history including owning and operating his own business. In the latter years, Wendell worked as a cashier and greeter where he was beloved by the staff and community. He enjoyed camping and fishing and will be remembered for his great work ethic. He was a member and loved attending Hipps Chapel Church. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lottie Postell; wife, Ida Sue Stepp Postell brothers J.D. Postell, Howard Postell, Winford Postell, Gary Postell and Don Postell. He is survived by his children, Rebecca "Becky" (Alan) Queen and Lynette Pritchett; grandchildren, Karen Queen (Chris) Rooker, Julie Queen (Bob) McDaniel, Greg Pritchet, and Matthew Pritchett; great-grandchildren, Ruby McDaniel and Joseph McDaniel; brothers, Charles Postell of Ellijay, GA, Lealon (and Anna Lou) Postell of Epworth, GA, and Ray (and Carolyn) Postell of Ellijay, GA; sister, Beulah Watson of Dalton, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the family has elected not to hold visitation. Wendell will be interred at Hipps Chapel Church Cemetery after a private service.
