Mr. Wayne Cecil Prince, age 65, of McCaysville, GA, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008. Wayne was a native of the Copper Basin area and was retired from the Martin Tire Company. He was a son of the late Fred Taft and Ila Hembree Prince.He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Queen Prince of the home; two daughters, Darlene and husband Jimmy Holloway of Epworth, GA, Chrissy and husband Pastor Jeremy Tipton of Copperhill, TN; brothers, Freddie Prince of Cleveland, TN, Larry Prince of Ohio, Gary Prince of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Evelyn Dockery and Paulette Millsaps, both of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren, Justin Holloway, Nathaniel Tipton and Hannah Tipton. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 23, at 3:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Tipton officiating. Music was by Melinda Trimm, Melissa Hicks and Hannah Tipton. Pallbearers were Larry Joe Sosebee, Chris Prince, Nolan Queen, Preston Faris, Justin Holloway, Earl Dockery and Nathaniel Tipton. Honorary pallbearers were Leroy Holloway, John Dyer, Hoyt Verner, Andy Chastain and Charles Prince. Interment will follow in the Sun Rise Tabernacle Church cemetery.
