Wayne Lee Peppers, affectionately known as "Bobie" passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Jasper, GA. He was born on March 26, 1943, in Bold Springs, GA, to the late Earnest Peppers and Fannie Lou Dean Peppers. Bobie was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the Meyerhardt Lodge #314 F&AM. He retired from General Motors where he worked on the assembly line for many years. Bobie enjoyed watching westerns, listening to gospel music, and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Jean Golden Peppers; infant son, Mike Peppers; and grandchildren, Toby Peppers and Todd Peppers. Bobie is survived by his children, Kerry Peppers, Britt (Michelle) Peppers, and Donnie (Rosalie) Peppers, all of Talking Rock, GA; sisters, Shirley Smith of Oxford, GA, Ellen (Sterling) Golden of Fairmount, GA, and Sadie (Fred) Tumblin of Winder, GA; brothers-in-law, Mark Gilstrap of Kennesaw, GA and Earl (Patricia) Golden of Marble Hill, GA; grandchildren, Michael Peppers, Mitchell Peppers, Kendra Sanders-Peppers, Samantha Holcombe, Austin Peppers, Kaitlynn Barron-Peppers, and Melody Barron-Peppers; step-grandchildren, Donna Barron, Hannah Barron, and Makayla Barron; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Peppers, Callie Peppers, and Carmen Peppers. Graveside funeral services were conducted on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC, with Rev. Keith Raper officiating. Masonic Rites were conducted by the Meyerhardt Lodge #314 F&AM. Pallbearers were Kerry Peppers, Britt Peppers, Donnie Peppers, Michael Peppers, Mitchell Peppers, and Austin Peppers.
