Wanda Jean Stanley, age 60, of McCaysville, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home. Born on May 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Geraldine Wilson Thomas. She had worked in Medical Supply Sales for Preferred Medical for a number of years. Wanda enjoyed cooking and spending time with her only grandson.She is survived by husband, Steve Stanley of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Randy Read of Cartersville, GA; grandson, Caiden Read of Cartersville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Todd Manners of Blue Ridge, GA; and two nieces and nephews, Caitlyn Wilson and Kyle Manners. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 2:00 pm from Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home with Min. Tim Taylor officiating. Music will be provided by Teresa Ross.The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers: Brian Henson, William Garland, Jake Stanley, Sean Stanley, Randy Read, Caiden Read and Kyle Manners. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
