Wanda Gail Adams, 68, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Canton, Georgia.
She was born on May 20, 1957, in Murphy, North Carolina, to the late Fred and Polly Crowder. Wanda was a member of Higher Ground Praise and Worship Center, where she enjoyed both worship and fellowship. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Life Care Center of Copper Basin, a role she valued for the opportunity to care for others.
Wanda enjoyed traveling to Sevierville, Tennessee, especially to attend car shows, and had a love for music. She was known for her kindness and compassion, touching the lives of not only her family but everyone she met. She also held a special place in her heart for her canine companion, Jasper.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Ray Adams; and sister, Joanie Kyle.
She is survived by her siblings, Sheila Bradshaw and Rev. Harold Crowder and wife, Christie; nieces and nephews, Dennis (Kimberly) Patterson, Gary (Kim) Patterson, Noel (Keshia) Buchanan, William Patterson, Jonathan Crowder, Kristi (Stan) Collins, Gayge (Maddie) Guy, Amanda (Messina) Moore, Andrea (Devon) Hurd, Matthew (Brittany Patterson) Brown, Liam Kochish, and Reece Patterson; many great nieces and nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Harold Crowder officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Harold Crowder. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chris Monkus, Traven Monkus, Matthew Brown, Gary Patterson, Gayge Guy, Devon Hurd, Stan Collins, and Jonathan Crowder. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Noel Buchanan, Dennis Patterson, and William Patterson. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Georgia on Friday evening, April 24, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
