Walter "Wally" Binnon Mull, 60, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Etowah, Tennessee.
He was born on July 26, 1964, in Pickens, South Carolina, to J.C. Mull and Donna Kathleen Ash. A member of Hipps Chapel Church, he found strength in his faith and comfort in his community.
Wally enjoyed riding his bicycle, coloring, painting, and tinkering with anything that needed fixing. From a young age, he had a fascination with how things worked and could often be found with a tool in hand.
He was friendly and familiar to many, and truly loved by all who knew him.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Etowah Nursing Home for the loving care and compassion they showed Wally.
Wally is preceded in death by his father, J.C. Mull; and sister, Lynn Shirley.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Holcombe; sisters, Angela Abrams, Sherry Callihan (Matt), and Becky Miller (Keith); nieces and nephews, Sarah Kreis (Jose Delportal), Brelyn Kreis (Sarah) , Garrison Kreis (Morgan), Shalah White (Zachary), Kori Boring (Josh), Brittney Allen, Trudy Deal, Cheyenne Bedell, Tristan Shirley, Robbie Shirley, Wayne Dawson, and Waylon Dawson; aunts and uncles, Delnice Lawrence (Junior), Roger Ash (Maria), Tommy Ash (Peggy), and Dellon Ash (Billie); many great nieces and nephews, cousins, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. from the Hipps Chapel Church with Rev. Delmar Davenport and Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music was provided by the Hipps Chapel Church Choir. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Brelyn Kreis, Garrison Kreis, Zachary White, Matthew Callihan, Wayne Dawson, and Rick Jones. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Michael Keys, Robbie Shirley, Tristan Shirley, Tony Todd, and Charlie Queen. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, May 9, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
