Mr. Walter Glen Shuler, age 58, of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, in the Fannin Regional Hospital. He was a native of Fannin County, son of the late Lonnie and Estelle Dunn Shuler. He was a member of the Macodonia Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Shuler and a sister, Betty Allen. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Ledford Shuler of the home, a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Glen and Holly Shuler of Blue Ridge, a daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Brian Johnson of Blue Ridge, brother, Ronnie Shuler of McCaysville, Ga., and sister, Berthal Stafford of Crandall, Ga., five grandchildren, Emily, Kurstin and Hallie Shuler and Madison and Mackenzie Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 21, at 2:00 PM from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Ed O'Neal and Rev. Melvin O'Neal officiating. Music will be by the Kenny O'Neal Family and Macedonia Singers. Pallbearers will be Paul Allen, Marvin Cantrell, Roger Shuler, David Allen, Chris and Charles Stafford. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Johnson and Dewey Self. Interment will follow in the Patterson Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Sunday evening at the funeral home.
