Walter Eugene Dean, age 86, of Farner passed away on May 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1935 in Etowah, TN to the late Roy Lee Dean and Eunice Wright Dean. Walter was a retired twenty-two year veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Chief Petty Officer. He is survived by his son, Robbie Dean of Farner, TN; brother, David Dean of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Evelyn Underwood of Farner, TN, and Ruth (James) Kidd; grandson, Cade Dean; as well as, several cousins, other relatives, and friends. A private graveside service will be conducted at the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
