Mr. Walter Haden Davis age 79 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, GA. He was born Wednesday, July 12, 1933 and was the son of the late Olen Davis and the late Bessie Farmer Davis. Mr. Davis was self employed as a large equipment operator and excavating. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Hardscrabble Road. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Blanchard Davis and sister, Frances Kaylor.He was survived by a sons, Jacob Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA and Leon Davis of GA; stepson, Willie (Sabina) Tipton of Blue Ridge, GA; step-daughters, Jennie Mae (Glenn) Lambert of Charleston, SC, Kathy Seabolt of Blue Ridge, GA; Sandra (Nicky) Nicholson of Hiawassee, GA and Marina Sue Davis of Cookeville, TN; brothers Waldo Davis of Blue Ridge, GA and James Davis of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Dorothy Rogers of Blue Ridge, GA and fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren also survive.Funeral services were condcucted Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams officiating.Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
