Waldo Kermit Davis, age 81, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 7, 1942 in Mineral Bluff, Georgia to the late Olin Davis and Bessie Farmer Davis. Waldo was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He had worked many years as a HVAC techinican.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bryant Davis; and siblings, Frances Kaylor, Dot Rogers, Walter Davis, James Davis, and several infant siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis Davis; children, Renee Bell (Bo), Christopher Buttram (Susan), Erica Davis Callihan (Jake), and Daniel Davis (Madison); grandchildren, Grayson, Emily, Sophia, Hunter (Vanessa), Gage, Kenna, William, Emmalyn, Isaiah, Mercedes, Taylor, Chloe, Trinity, Toby, Abigail, Lillian, Stephen, Seth, Destiny, Selena, Christy, Alexis and Dakota; great-grandchild, Harlow, Reese, Ethan, Aaron, Ian, Raylen, Will and Emily;and brother-in-law, Winston Buttram.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks and Jerry Bandy officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship #3 Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Josh Bandy, Jacob Bandy, Hunter Hayes, Jacob Walton, Joey Reeves, and Travis Davenport. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers are: Pete Jones, Jack Worthey, Hippi, Joel Collis, Bobby Callihan, Ricky Callihan, Randall Watkins, Chris Hulsey, Ed Hawkins, Randy Willoughby and Wayne Watkins. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
