Virginia Ruth Johns, age 82, of Morganton, GA, passed away on March 22, 2019 in Pruitt Health Care. Born in Inez, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hudson Shanks, Sr. and Dovie Harbin Shanks. She was also of the Baptist faith. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Roy Lamar Johns; and a daughter, Robin Johns Wallace. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy Lamar "Butch" Johns and wife Sue of Knoxville, TN; brother, Robert Shanks, Jr. of Earleton, FL; grandchildren, Jenny Wallace and Richard Wallace. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating.
