Virginia A. "Jeanne" Elliott, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA, assed away Friday, June 20, 2008 in the Saint Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born in Polk County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ellard A. and Flora Ellen Watts Allen. She was retired from health care industry and had worked with North West Home Health. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Blue Ridge congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Felix Elliott. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Pat Elliott of Mineral Bluff, GA; two daughters, Melissa Ann Wig of Blue Ridge, GA and Sandra Louise McDuffie of Tifton, GA; a brother, Winfred Allen of Isabella, TN; four sisters, Marjorie Anderson of Knoxville, TN, Marie Bryant of Mineral Bluff, GA, Edna Barnett of Murphy, NC and Pat Prince of Isabella, TN; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, June 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Terry Allen officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery (Wolf Creek). Pallbearers were Ricky Allen, Joe Allen, Darris Mealer, Daryl Barnett, Walter Anderson and Matt Hughes.
