Virginia E. Curtis, age 64, of Blue Ridge passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Virginia was born on December 11, 1956 in Copperhill, TN to the late Wade Junior Curtis and the late Floy Gertrude Hughes. She had worked in sales and will be missed by her canine companion, Roscoe. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Curtis, and sister-in-law Ruth Curtis. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Misty) Walden; brother, Donald (Cheryl) Curtis; grandchildren, Jessie Walden, Alicia Walden, Christopher Walden, and Lexie Walden; nephews, Jonathan Curtis, Jeremy Curtis, Josh Curtis, and Matt Curtis; and a niece, Laura Myers. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Taylor officiating. Interment was held privately in the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to help defray final expenses.
