Mrs. Viola Shell, age 87, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge. Mrs. Shell was born in Fannin County, GA on March 12, 1924 to the late Junis Hughes and Louisa Fox Hughes. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas "Doc" Shell. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Robert Hardy of Loudon, TN and Judy an Mac McKinney of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Becci Hart and her husband Michael Hart, and Beth Milhollin and her husband Dr. James Milhollin; great grandchildren, Thomas Milholloin, Samuel Milhollin, and Robert Milhollin, Victoria Hart, Matthew Hart, and Lily Hart; and brothers, Jack Hughes of Ducktown, TN and Cecil Hughes of Kanapolis, NC. Graveside services were held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Chastain Memorial Park with Rev. Ed Umbach officiating. Pallbearers were Toby Rhodes, Roy Conner, Steve McFarland, James Milhollin, Thomas Milhollin, Sam Milhollin, Michael Hart, and Matthew Hart.
