Mrs. Viola Davenport Foster, age 92, of Epworth, GA passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Mrs. Foster was born on December 7, 1919 in Fannin County, GA to the late Samuel Thomas Davenport and Sudia Jones Davenport. Shewas a member of Colwell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emet Lee Foster, Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Foster Conner; and grandchildren, Emily Foster, Allen Baker, and Raymond Allen. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Emmett, Jr. and Anne Foster of Scottsmoor, FL, and Jimmie and Bernice Foster of Epworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jim Allen of Scottsmoor, FL, Ann and John Baker of Epworth, Carolyn Foster Call of Epworth, Nancy and Eddie Brooks of Dawsonville, GA, and Joan and Andy Milton of Ellijay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Susanna Davenport of Scottsmoor, FL; 16 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her church family at Colwell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Colwell Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Collis, Rev. Delmar Davenport, and Rev. Max Curtis officiating. Music will be by Grandchildren of Mrs. Foster. Pallbearers will be Rusty Call, Jansen Haight, Russell Allen, Jake Allen, Michael Foster, Kenneth Foster, Nathaniel Carter, and Bill Walsh. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Haight and Anthony Walsh. Interment will follow in Colwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 1:00 p.m..
