Vincent (Vinny) Paul Costa,63, of McCaysville, GA passed away on May 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was born on December 25, 1953 in the Bronx, New York to Frank Paul Costa, Sr. and Josephine Marie Cordone Costa. Vinny was a 1972 graduate of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL. He worked for Winn Dixie in his early years and went on to work for the U.S.Postal Service from which he retired. He spent his retirement years enjoying the North Georgia Mountains. He especially loved rides in "the mule" with his wife, camping, splitting wood, Bible time with his father-in-law and playing with his beloved dogs, Buddy, Bandit and Max. As well during his illness, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels.Vinny is survived by his loving wife Renee (Tiffany), brothers Ray Costa (Kathleen) and Frank P. Costa Jr. (Diane), nieces Andrea Costa Laden (Chris) and Olivia Costa (Christian), nephews Sam Costa, Frank P. Costa III (Stacy) and Robert Costa (Victoria), mother and father-in-law Mary Jane and Roy Trantham and brother-in-law Chris Trantham, daughters Concetta Ehrhart, Amanda Lengevin (Jeremy) and Angelina Cain (Joe) and five grandchildren.Vinny was predeceased by his parents, niece Sara Marie Costa and sister-in-law Brenda Compton Costa.A graveside service was held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the New Hope Cemetery in Murphy, NC. Pallbearers were Ray Costa, Frank Costa, Sam Costa, Frankie Costa, Robert Costa and Chris Trantham.
