Mrs. Vickey Dixon Head, age 62, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1963, in York, South Carolina, to John Dixon and Margaret Huskey Dixon.

Vickey attended Bethel Church in McCaysville, Georgia. She took great pride in keeping a tidy house and a beautiful, well-maintained yard. Gardening was one of her favorite hobbies, and she found joy in watching her flowers and plants bloom. Above all, Vickey cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Dixon.

Vickey is survived by her mother, Margaret Dixon; children, Michael (Tamara) Head, Marcus (Ashley) Head, Megan (Jacob) Queen, Mason (Tiffani) Head, and Madison (Niki) Head; grandchildren, Addison Head, Cooper Head, Hazel Head, Corbin Head, Conrad Head, Peyton Franklin, Paxton Mealer, Presley Mealer, Piper Queen, Parker Queen, Pierce Queen, Eli Head, Eian Head, Cayden Schminky, Emma Head, and Jocelyn Head; and sister, Margaret Jo (Alan) Jones.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethel Church with Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Michael Head, Marcus Head, Mason Head, Madison Head, Corbin Head, and Conrad Head. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were: Cooper Head, Paxton Mealer, Pierce Queen, Eli Head, Eian Head, and Cayden Schminky. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge, Georgia on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
