Vera Mae Stokes, age 94, of Turtletown, TN, formerly of Old Town, FL who passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mrs. Stokes was born in Altamont, IL to the late Arnold and Bertha Bauer Moll. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Chiefland, FL.She is survived by children, Dwight Stokes of Katy, TX, Duane (Linda) Stokes of Angola, IN and Darlene (Wade) Henderson of Turtletown, TN; brother, Howard (Gloria) Moll of Jackson, MI.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 20th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Dave Wesche officiating. Music will be by Jeri Sue Massengill. Graveside services will be Monday, March 23rd at 11:30 a.m. from the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends at the funerall home Friday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Stokes may be made to the Copper Basin Senior Center, 840 Cherokee Trail, Copperhill, TN 37317.
