Mrs. Valerie Ann Roper, age 50, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at her home. She was born in Cherokee County, NC on February 17, 1958. She worked for Main Street Pediatrics as a Certified Medical Assistant. Mrs. Roper was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marietta, GA but attended Mineral Bluff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Emerson Nichols. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Coy Dale Roper of Blue Ridge; daughter, Kayla Roper of Blue Ridge; mother, Doll Nichols of Mineral Bluff, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert G. and Jo Nichols of Blue Ridge; sister, Vivian M. Nichols Sikes of Powder Springs, GA; mother-in-law, Geraldine Roper of Acworth; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Doug Payne and Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Music was by Michael and Mike Roper.
