Juanita "Tootsie" Adams, age 86, of Turtletown, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born on January 29, 1935, in Copperhill. Tootsie was a seamstress for a clothing manufacture. She loved to garden and going to yard sales. Tootsie was preceded in death by her mother, Carmel Swanson Stillwell; children, Mary Ann Adams Underwood and David Michael Adams; grandson, Matthew Adams; great-grandson, Jaxson Hardin; and several siblings. Survivors are her husband, Wade Adams; daughters, Wanda Bice, Judy Nicholson and Pam Osorio (Israel) all of Turtletown; grandchildren, Lori Elrod, Joanna Bice Trammell, Joseph Bice, Joshua Nicholson, Jennifer Chambers, Aaron Nicholson, Sandra Smith, Levi Christy, and Chelsea Underwood; great-grandchildren, Devan Cribbs, Hannah Cribbs, Virginia Chambers, Isaac Chambers, Tyler Nicholson, Katelynn Albertson, Makelyn Smith, Miguel Gomez, Colton Smith, and Colt Carr; brothers, James Stillwell (Joy), Jerry Stillwell (Anita), David Stillwell (Laura Sue), Cobe Stillwell (Nina), and Don Stillwell; and sister, Jeanette Elrod all of Copperhill. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Isaac Chambers, Austin Trammell, Tyler Nicholson, Joshua Nicholson, and Levi Christy. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
