Tommy Roger Cantrell, age 69, of Epworth, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 21, 2022. Tommy was born on January 11, 1953, in Ellijay. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Foster Cantrell Davis and Sanford Cantrell and Edmona Davenport and Fred Davenport; brother, William Cantrell and sister, Claira Harris, nephews, Kyle Linderman and Terry Harris; and a niece, April Harris. Tommy grew up in Devils Den and was a terrific carpenter. He loved to fish and hunt. As a younger man, he loved to drag race and "work on hot rods." He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids and great-grandson grow! Tommy is survived by his sister, Martha Ann Linderman; children, Jody Cantrell, Stevie (Kim) Cantrell, and Jessie (Amy) Cantrell; grandchildren, MiKayla Walters, Shane Kelley, Nathan Kelley, Drake Cantrell, Lake Cantrell, Branch Cantrell, Jacie Crowder, Matthew Crowder, Addalyn Cantrell and Evelyn Cantrell; great-grandson, Layne Walters; numerous nieces and nephews; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Linderman, Missy Law, Amanda Byan, Jamie Cantrell, and Barry Harris; and fur babies, Otis, Zeke, and Ollie. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Chapel. Interment will follow in the Scrougetown Cemetery with Shannon Owensby, Shane Kelley, Jessie Cantrell, Michael York, Daniel Watson, and Barry Harris serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Kelley, Jody Cantrell, Drake Cantrell, Lake Cantrell, Branch Cantrell, Matthew Crowder, Kain Linderman, Johnson Foster, and Isaac Davis.
