Mr. T. J. Queen of Epworth, GA passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN. He was born in Fannin County, GA on June 30, 1936 to the late Elmer and Addie Petty Queen. Mr. Queen was retired from Tennessee Copper Mines and was a member of the United Miners Association. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Queen was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Mae (Tutty) Wilson Queen. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Jane and Bill Aragon of Cleveland, TN; brother, Leon Queen of Murphy, NC; sisters, Lorene Cearley of McCaysville, GA and Maxine Lee of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Marcus Cochran, Zakary Aragon, Cory Cochran and Lindsay Aragon. Funeral Services were conducted on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. John Baker officiating. Music was by Catherine Jordan. Pallbearers were Terry Lee Johnson, Tony Queen and grandchildren. Interment followed in Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
