Mr. Thomas Jackson Watson, Sr., age 69, of Roland Hayes Parkway, Calhoun, passed away Friday February 22,2013 at his residence. Mr. Watson was born July 13, 1943, ln Dawson County, a son of the late Ernest Watson, and Stella Reed Watson. He was a member of Juno Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Lori (Wayne) Patterson, Calhoun; Linda (Tracy) Hardy, Rome; Andrea(Scott) Anderson, Pooler, Ga.; son, Thomas Watson, Jr. Adairsville; brothers, David Watson, Shannon; Daniel Watson, Rome; sisters, Ernestine Shaw, Calhoun; Estaline Pledger, Rome; Josephine Smith, Plainville; Katherine Simpson, Coosa; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday February 24, 2013 at Hipps Chapel United Methodist Church in Blue Ridge, with Rev. J.E. Glass,officiating. Interment will follow in Hipps Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday February 23, 2013 at Pamick Jennings, Sr. 's Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165. The body will lie instate at the church from 3pm to 4pm Sunday. Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at Hipps Chapel United Methodist Church, in Blue Ridge by 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Charles Watson, Daniel Watson, Danny Watson, Shamblin Pledger, Albert Simpson, and Mitchell Patterson.
