Thomas Andrew Taylor of Turtletown, TN passed away peacefully Saturday, December 13, 2025 in his home surrounded by family. Tom was born April 20, 1942 in Ducktown, TN to the late Ulysses H. and Lena Taylor.

He married the love of his life Linda D. Taylor on April 10, 1965. Together they raised their family in Ducktown. Tom worked for City Service Company, and later Polk County Road Department.

Tom enjoyed fishing, Nascar Racing, working outside, polishing his vehicles, and being with his family. He had a larger than life personality. He loved to tell stories of growing up with his family "down in the holler". Tales of a simpler time with little hidden nuggets of what it truly meant to overcome hardships and persevere will not be forgotten by those closest to him. His story telling, his jokes, and his unique ability to make you laugh, and just feel better about life in general will live on in the hearts and minds of all those that were lucky enough to know him.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Andrew Taylor, Jr., sisters, Sarah, Glenis, and Carol, brothers, Bud and Hansel.

Tom is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Taylor, his children, Andrea (Jeff) Patterson of McCaysville, Jeff and Sheila Taylor of Epworth, and Alan and Julie Taylor of Turtletown. Eight grandchildren, Jared, Todd, Kelleigh, Josh, Devin, Ashley, Aiden, and Brooklyn. Ten great grandchildren, Josiah, Elsie, Wesley, Kylee, Carter, Zoe, Alaina, Hudson, Garrett, and Waylon, One brother Danny Taylor, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
