The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Thomas Marvin Shell, age 50, of Copperhill, TN who passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010. Marvin was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Thomas Franklin and Mary Alice Beavers Shell. He was employed with the Jackson Manufacturing Company in Cleveland, TN as a production line worker. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church.He is survived by nephews and nieces, Billy (Tonya) Ricketts, Buddy Ricketts, Robert Ricketts and Tina Panter, all of Cleveland, TN, Brandy Roberts of Copperhill, TN, Mary Miller of Gainesville, GA, Adam Roberts of Maryville, TN, Lonnie Roberts, Jr. of Mineral Bluff, GA; great nieces and nephews, Noelle Ricketts and Tieler Ricketts. Cousins, Scotty (Mary) Payne of Mineral Bluff, GA, Steve (Jean)Payne of Blue Ridge, GA; a very special friend, Linda Tarpley of Copperhill, TN; also a large number of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 15th at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Larry Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
