Thomas "TJ" Jugarthy Crowder, age 76, of Farner passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. TJ was born on June 18, 1949 in McCaysville to the late Lloyd Crowder and Icie Craig Crowder.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord.
As a husband, he was a loyal partner, giving strength and love throughout their life. As a father, he led by example, teaching integrity, hard work, and faith. His children knew they could always count on his guidance and support.
Nothing brought him happiness like his grandchildren. Whether it was dancing in the living room or sitting on the porch watching front yard baseball games, he cherished every minute spent with his family.
Above all else, TJ loved Jesus. His faith guided the way he lived, loved others, and the example he set for those around him. Although he was content being at home in his recliner and watching game shows, his greatest joy was in his relationship with the lord and he shared his faith with everyone he met.
Though his family will miss him dearly, his faith, love, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him. We find comfort in knowing he is in the arms of his Savior and has heard the words "well done, good and faithful servant."
TJ is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Icie Crowder; son, Russell Crowder; and 12 siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Crowder of the home; sons, Richard Crowder of Turtletown, Chris (Michelle) Crowder of Mineral Bluff, Thomas (Amanda) Crowder of Jacksonville, FL, Andy (Kelly) Crowder of McCaysville, and Ryan (Ashley) Crowder of Grassy Creek; daughter, Erika Crowder of the home; sister, Minnie Kay Allen of Dalton; 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill Chapel with Chaplain Adam Jones officiating.
