Mr. Thomas Canady, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA, was taken by the hand of Jesus to eternal glory on February 11, 2023 at his residence. Thomas, better known as "Tom" was born in Savannah, GA to the late Harry Albert and Maude Sapp Canady. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era. Tom was a retired Federal Firefighter for Hunter Army Airfield in Savanah, GA. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert George Canady and Walter Moree Canady; and niece, Janet Marie.

Survivors include his loving spouse, Charles Ferguson Canady of 29 years; nieces, Kathy Moore, Debbie Maxwell, Brenda Witt, Donna Garcia, Caroline Proctor and Angela Olfield; sisters-in-law, Anna Canady and Ethel Stapleton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services to honor Tom's life will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Buddy Butler officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be provided for everyone at the Copperhill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, GA with military honors provided by the United States Army. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family respectfully request that all floral tributes be either yellow or white flowers.
