Mrs. Theresa Diane Padgett Satterfield, age 63, of McCaysville, GA passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in the Wellstar - Windy Hill Hospital in Smyrna, GA. She was born in Polk County, TN on July 3, 1946. Theresa retired from J.C. Penny as an executive assistant. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church, Mother's Against Drunk Driving, Compassionate Friends and a supporter of the Humane Society. Theresa was preceded in death by a son, Michael Charles Satterfield and father, Charles Oscar Padgett.She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Satterfield of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Christine Satterfield of Kodak, TN; mother, Mary Seabolt Padgett of Ducktown, TN; brother, Jerry Padgett of McEwen, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Hersey Miller of Statesfield, NC and one grandson, Liam James Satterfield also survive.Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 12:00 noon from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Hersey Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Daniel Padgett, Scott Satterfield, Brian Satterfield, Chad Satterfield, Tony Satterfield, Dr. Russell Seabolt, Jeff Seabolt and Davis Buckheister. Interment followed in the Sugar Creek Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Theresa Satterfield may be made to the Mothers against Drunk Driving, 511 E.
