Ms. Teresa Ann Skaggs, age 48, of Mineral Bluff passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Jefferson County, Alabama, she was preceded in death by her mother Doris Mae Tucker Armstrong. She was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Skaggs was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, fishing, and angels. She was survived by her former husband Tommy Skaggs of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Marci Whitten of Morganton; son, Tommy Harrison Skaggs, Jr. of Mineral Bluff; daughter, Amanda Michelle Skaggs of Mineral Bluff; fiance Ron Acuff of Mineral Bluff; father, Jim Armstrong; brothers, Jimmy Armstrong and Greg Armstrong both of Birmingham, AL; sister, Brenda Aldridge of Huntsville, AL; and grandchildren, Christopher Alexander Whitten, Joshua Terry Whitten, Gavin Dakota King, and Conner Ellijah King. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Pallbearers were Ryan Kochish, Matthew Gaddy, Ryan Deal, Patrick Callihan, Jeremy King, and Shane Keller. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park following a white dove release.
