Sue Ellen Standridge, age 64, of Murphy, NC, passed away Monday, September 17th at her home. Sue was a native of the Copper Basin and was a member of the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Florence Richards Rhodes, daughter, Lisa Ann Patterson, brother, Billy Rhodes, sisters, Pearl Hughes, Edith Parris, Myrtle Rhodes and Ethel Burger, a grandson, Nicholas Stonecipher. She was survived by her husband, Jimmy Standridge of the home; three sons, Marcus Payne, Michael Standridge and Jerome and wife Amanda Standridge, all of Murphy, NC; three daughters, Tammy and husband Jerome Cribbs of Murphy, NC, Becky and husband Terry Hawkins of Copperhill, TN, Chealeah Standridge of Farner, TN; one brother, Bobby Rhodes of Cleveland, TN; one sister Betty Harrison of Ducktown, TN; four grandchildren, Tabitha Peak, Samantha Peak, Daniel Peak and Lacie Cleo Standridge; two great-grandchildren, Trinity Page Stonecipher and Tatum Peak; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 19th at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore and Rev. Kenneth Mann officiating. Music was by the Heavenly Echoes. Pallbearers were Jerome Cribbs, Roger Picklesimer, Dale Ray, Terry Hawkins, Steve Bandy and Joe Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Standridge and Jerome Standridge. Interment followed in the Mt.
