Sue Ellen Hensley, age 82, of Turtletown passed away on July 5, 2024. Sue was born on February 5, 1942 in Copperhill to the late Donald Plemmons and Irene Cochran Plemmons. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Sue worked for over twenty years and retired as a bookkeeper for the State of Tennessee. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds, camping with family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hensley.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Eddie) Stiles of Turtletown, and Beverly Kimsey of Turtletown; grandchildren, Jessica Burger, Peyton Kimsey, and Devon Kimsey; and brother, Donald Plemmons of Turtletown.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music was  provided by Janice Reid. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Devon Kimsey, Peyton Kimsey, Steve Kimsey, Jon Kimsey, Donald Plemmons III, and Travis Luttrell. The family visited with  friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
