Mr. Stephen "Steve" Earl Postell, age 73, of Mineral Bluff passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Powder Springs Center for Nursing and Healing. Steve was born on July 29, 1948 to Earl Thomas Postell and Ida Lou Garren Postell. He worked as a small engine mechanic for a number of years along with being a brick mason. Steve was an avid fan of western movies and loved to work with his hands building a variety of things. As a younger man he enjoyed trout fishing and hunting and was a longtime volunteer firefighter in Blue Ridge. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Thomas Postell and grandchildren, Samuel Postell and Benjamin Postell. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy Postell; children, Jennifer Odom, Stacy Postell, and Christopher Steven (Johanna Hill) Postell; mother, Ida Lou Postell; siblings, David (Misty) Postell, Timothy (Melissa) Postell, Darlene (Thomas) Gibbs, Jone Ellen (Mike) Daves, and Jolene Tallent; grandchildren, Bridget Dotson, Randy Tyler Loeffler, Eli Presswood, Ava Presswood, Cameron Postell, Brayden Postell, Will (Alyssa) Spencer, Alaina Spencer, William Spencer, and Lillian Cortez; great grandchildren, Kaeleigh Dotson, Delilah Dotson, and Mazikeen Spencer. Steve will be remembered at a graveside service on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery.
