Stanley Richard Henson, age 47, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in Dawsonville, GA. Mr. Henson was born on March 30, 1970 in Marietta, GA to the late James Hobert Henson and Ruth Evelyn Johnson Henson. He worked as a truck driver for McLaine South East. He attended The Ridge Community Church. Mr. Henson was a dedicated volunteer fireman for the Fannin County Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known for always lending a helping hand. He is survived by his wife, Angie DeVore Henson of Blue Ridge; sons, Hunter Henson and Justin Eure; daughters, Jamie Henson, Lauren Eure, and Maggie Robertson; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Ginger Henson; nephew, Wyatt Henson; mother-in-law, Shirley Barnes; father-in-law, James DeVore; two grandchildren, Ricky McCowan and Robbie Ellison; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Chan Mitchell and Dr. Mack McRoberts officiating. Pallbearers were Tim Wyatt, Tim Fagan, Robert Watkins, Rob Ross, Ronnie Wallace, Jesse Oliver, Jody Gilliam, Jimmy Amos, and Chris Hollis. Fannin County Fire and E.M.S. served as honorary escort. Interment followed in Barnes Chapel Cemetery with Fireman's Last Call by the Fannin County Fire Department.
