Mrs. Shirley Jean (Caylor) Bowles, age 68, of Ball Ground, GA passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at the LaFayette Health Care in LaFayette, GA. She attended the Church of God. She was a native and former resident of Fannin County, daughter of the late William Young Caylor and Annie Mae Talley Caylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Lee Bowles.She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Mayes of Ball Ground, GA, and Sheila Marlow of Gainesville, GA; one son, Robert Brown, Jr. of Ball Ground, GA, one brother, William Tommy Caylor of Waynesboro, TN, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Friday, January 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Sammy Ledford officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jody Caylor, Robert Brown, Jr., Eric Smith, William Smith, Tim McArthur, David Green, and Dale Harper. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
